Inspired by the epic poem Beowulf and other Anglo-Saxon and Germanic sources, this performance explores our own indigenous mythology, rich with strangeness, heroism and moral ambiguity, wrapped up into an exciting and bombastic ritual performance.
Enter a mythic landscape, and encounter wild and ancient tales of heroes, gods and giants. Precious fragments of Anglo-Saxon narratives, the foundation stones of English culture, draw on the uncanny presence of the sea and the liminal spaces where human and monstrous worlds collide…
